Nancy Johnston speaks about her work as Associate Director of the Centre for Teaching and Learning and in the Writing Centre at UTSC. She briefly talks about the courses she teaches in the Women's and Gender Studies program in the Department of Historical and Cultural Studies. Johnston shares her experience as a graduate student and her experience prior to coming to UTSC in 2005. She discusses her advocacy and activism around issues of disability and access and the related services on campus. She talks about some of the stresses students face during their undergraduate career, and how the Writing Centre can play a role in aiding students with their assignments.
