Margaret Yan began her career at UTSC in 2005 as a Student Recruitment Officer. Margaret, one of the founders of the Green Path Program, had begun this program from her strong background in international student programming and initatives. The Green Path Program works to establish strong relationships with the very top high schools in China to recruit students to UTSC. The program provides both orientation services and support to international students to ensure that they are successful throughout their undergraduate career. Margaret is currently the Director of International Academic Programs and Initiatives at UTSC. Margaret reflects on establishing and maintaining international relationships, administration, the fantastic growth of international initiatives at UTSC, and how COVID-19 has transformed her role as Director of UTSC's International Academic Programs and Initatives.
