Professor Michael Evans looks back at his career teaching statistics at UTSC, beginning in 1977. Professor Evans comments on the organization of faculty and departments in the early days of Scarborough College, the discipline of statistics, and the growth of the statistics program through the creation of new courses. As the chair of the Department of Statistics on the St. George campus from 1992 to 1997, Evan compares the statistics programs at UTSC and St. George while also describing the relationship of St. George with UTSC and UTM. Evans also touches upon the shuttle bus that ran between the downtown and Scarborough campus, connections made with students, and his early impressions of Scarborough College.
